Hey guys! Take a look at this really great value city break to Barcelona! I found a fantastic hotel deal on HRS.com and added a good flight from bravofly.co.uk, so simply book hotel and flights separately on those pages to get to that price.

The best is that you will be staying in a 4 star Hilton Hotel which is called Diagonal Mar Barcelona (83% on Tripadvisor). You get to use to hotel’s spa section with its sauna, indoor pool as well as its gym. You get free wifi in your room and get to check out late on you last day. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing! Just take a look at their roof bar and the pool up there! You can chill out in the evenings with a sweet cocktail and let your legs dangle in the water while you enjoy the great view across the city. You’ll fell like a celeb!

It is situated in the district of Sant Marti, thus a perfect location to start a fantastic shopping trip to this vibrant city. You will be right opposite of the Fórum on Avenida Diagonal, a huge and modern shopping mall. Since it’s a self catering stay you might want to start your shopping trip on the Mercat de la Libertat. The open market has been established as early as 1888, and is a great destination if you are looking for fine food to start the day! At the stall ‘El Tast de Joan Noi’ you can get great fish and seafood to take away, so try out there grilled gambas, you’re going to love them! After this culinary excursion you probably want to get back into some Spanish boutiques. If your purse allows it then go by the shopping district El Born, here you find expensive fancy little boutiques, however you also have the chance of spotting a bargain on the street Passeig del Born at the shop ‘LittleBorn’. The tiny shop sells tops, dresses, bags and shoes that give you this typical Spanish or Mediterranean look, so definitely worth a visit. If you’re more the home-section shopper then you might like the designer kitchen utensils store from ‘La Commercial’, also located in Born. Great to find quirky gifts there or bring some funny looking salt and pepper shakers home. Book nerds will love ‘La Central’ in Raval, there you get a broad selection of literature but also amazing coffee table books – of course also in English! So pack some comfy runners and shop till you drop!
