Enjoy an incredible Barcelona August break during the world-famous Festa de Gracia festival and staying in a stylish 4* hotel, all for an incredible price!

5 Night Barcelona August Break Including 4* Hotel, Transfers And Flights During Festa de Gracia Festival

There’s surely no better time to jet off to Barcelona than during the Catalan capital’s annual Festa Major de Gràcia street festival, when the city pulsates to the rhythm of every imaginable genre of music and the streets explode with colour, dancing and unparalleled fun – making your Barcelona August break so much more exciting! Taking place in the city’s vibrant Gràcia neighbourhood, you can to expect to stumble into surprises around each and every corner; from elaborately decorated floors, walls, balconies and doorways to health and safety defying human towers and impromptu poetry slams to members of the public fleeing ‘bandits’ brandishing sparklers, the streets of Barcelona come to life for a few crazy days and provide an unforgeable and utterly unique experience!

With this fabulous Barcelona August break combining a deal from Trivago with great flights found on Skyscanner, you will be spending 5 nights in a 4* hotel in Barcelona and catch the famous Festa Major de Gracia festival with a few days to relax and enjoy the city afterwards. Your flights and estimated transfers via public transport are also included, making this an amazing price for an unforgettable Barcelona August break!

My suggested flights are from Belfast to Barcelona, and including public transport transfers your travel is all sorted. You’ll be getting a train and then a short metro ride, which should be around £3 – I’ve factored a return trip into the price. For route information, check your options here. There’s also great flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester – just check the screenshot below and find your own flights.

You’ll be staying in the 4* Hotel Zenit Borrell, located in the quieter Eixample area of Barcelona away from all the noise and excitement of Las Ramblas. What I most like about it is that it is located in a trendy neighborhood with great restaurants and fashionable stores without the noise and crowds. The staff are helpful and accommodating, and you’re within easy reach of all the festivities in the nearby Garcia neighbourhood but won’t be kept up all night by the partying! This hotel scores 4/5 on TripAdvisor.

Gearing up to celebrate its 199th anniversary in August 2015, upwards of 1.5m people are expected to swell the streets of the Gràcia neighbourhood for this stunning block party festival. There are workshops, competitions, concerts and much, much more besides, presenting you with the perfect opportunity to experience Barcelona at its most vibrant, colourful and atmospheric best. The street festival itself doesn’t cost a single cent to enter, meaning you can set aside your hard-earned spending money for the €1 beers available from the local supermarkets and the delicious snacks that will keep you going through the day and night! Apart from this you also have all of the incredible sights of Barcelona to make the most of, and with a couple of days left in the city after the festival is over you’ll have plenty of time to explore.

This Barcelona August break is an incredible deal to an incredible city – but the departure is coming up quick, so book now to avoid disappointment!
