Copenhagen is a really famous city, yet is one of the cities that seems to be missed off peoples’ list! With a beautiful harbour, the Tivoli gardens and countless historical buildings, you won’t be short of things to do on this trip!

You will be staying in the 4* Hotel Kong Arthur, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4/5 as well as being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014. There are various different options available for this hotel, I have selected the one that includes breakfast. If you don’t want to include breakfast in the price of the hotel you can easily change this during the booking process!

Whilst you’re in Copenhagen things can get pretty pricey; it’s an expensive city, which tends to be why people stay away from it. There are, however, free things that you can do! The best free thing to do in any city really is the free Walking Tours that are available. These tours show you everything that you could want to see, inform you of everything you would want to know about the city and more. The guides operate on a tips-only basis, so you don’t have to give them anything if you don’t want to (although that would be pretty mean)!

The other thing I would recommend doing whilst you’re there, which is also free, is going to The Tower, Christiansborg Palace. It’s a great place to go to get the best views of the city (primarily because you’re 106m above the rest of the city at that point).

As for food, you need to be careful where you look to go out for meals because, as previously mentioned, Copenhagen can be really expensive. I would recommend going to the Restaurant Kjøbenhavn, it is actually pretty good value for money and still centrally located. It’s got a really relaxed atmosphere so it’s really easy for you to enjoy the experience.

This deal is available to you in two parts. The first, the hotel and breakfast is available to you on booking.com. The flights I then found on easyjet.com, bringing the price to £243 per person. Because these two parts are booked separately, it does mean that you have a lot more flexibility with your dates, just beware that prices do vary quite substantially!

This is the perfect excuse for you to get away for a long weekend and explore a new city. It’s interesting, it’s beautiful and it’s somewhere that should definitely be on everybody’s “to-see” list.
