What with their thrillers and killers we’ve been seeing a lot more of Scandinavia recently than just the Ikea catalogue, which is great – but Scandinavia is so much more, home to some of Europe’s coolest cities just waiting for your to explore them! This Copenhagen long weekend deal is the perfect way to do just that, staying in a centrally located hotel and with flights included. Now all you need to do is work out how to pronounce that funny O with the line through it…

With this cool deal from Trivago and Ryanair you will be spending 4 nights in a centrally located hotel in Copenhagen, and have your flights included, all for just £179 per person. Your flights leave on Friday evening and come back on Tuesday morning, making this long weekend totally doable as far as time off work is concerned.

Flights are from London Luton to Copenhagen, and although airport transfers aren’t included it’s very easy to get to your hotel – it’s about £3 on the train, as you can see here.

You’ll be staying at the Generator Copenhagen, just off Kongens Nytorv – the largest square in the city. This hotel / hostel (you’ll be staying in a double bedroom with an en suite) is centrally located and within easy walking distance of all the sights, just what you need to pack the maximum into your Copenhagen long weekend. The best way to see and do it all is by foot, and when you need to rest your tired feet Generator is the perfect place to relax, with a bar and lounge that serves the best drinks and entertainment for miles around, and some awesome design features – this place really is a bit too cool to be simply classed a hostel. There’s fast and free WiFi available too. The Generator also has the great feature of a ‘travel shop’ where city experts will help you devise an itinerary that will take you to all the hidden treasures this dynamic city has to offer. No wonder this hotel scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor!

The city offers you diversity when it comes to it’s huge selection of tourist attractions, so you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied on your Copenhagen long weekend. I’m a sucker for a park on a sunny evening and the Frederiksberg Have Park is definitely in my top 3 favourite European Parks. Tivoli Gardens is also beautiful spot with the Rosenberg Castle and the National Museum of Denmark giving you a great insight into the city’s fascinating past. Aside from its history, its present will also have you hooked. It is a trendy and vibrant city with many great bars and restaurants that possess a warm and welcoming atmosphere no matter what day of the week you call in.

This city really is a must for any keen traveller, and these dates are perfect for a Copenhagen long weekend in a city that will have you desperate to come back for more!
