I have found a Düsseldorf weekend break deal to one of Germany’s coolest cities, where you can experience fine art, great beer, world-class shopping and the mighty Rhine.

3 Night Düsseldorf Weekend Break Including Hotel And Flights

With this great Düsseldorf weekend break package from Expedia you will be spending 3 nights in a 4* hotel in the centre of Düsseldorf, and have your flights included, all for just £121 per person!

Flights are from London Stansted to Düsseldorf , and although transfers aren’t included you’re in Germany – the land of perfect public transport! There’s a reasonably priced train to the central station, just around the corner from your hotel – you can see more details here. Your plane times also mean that you could easily head to work in time on Monday morning, if you don’t want to take too many days off!

The 4* Mercure Düsseldorf City Center is located in the Stadtmitte, or city centre, within easy reach of attractions such as Stilwerk Duesseldorf and Duesseldorf City Hall – perfect for your Düsseldorf weekend break. The Rhine Tower and Museum Kunstpalast are also close by, and being just around the corner from the Hauptbahnhof (central station) you’re within easy hitting distance of the whole city. You’re also just a stroll away from the banks of the Rhine, which is a great place for a wander your first evening to really get a feel of the city. This hotel scores 4/5 on TripAdvisor.

When you’re in Düsseldorf I would definitely take the chance to take a boat trip up the Rhine with Weisse Flotte. It’s an easy and relaxing way to take a look at places either south or north of Düsseldorf and to go as far as Cologne or the Rhineland with its beautiful vineyards! Also take a walk along the river promenade or the Medienhafen, which you can see on the picture. In the city itself you can go shopping on the famous but high society Königsallee and built up your shoe collection from expensive designers ;) Then a trip to the Old Town is a must, also a great place to spend the night. The place will be packed and it’s a great time to experience that special atmosphere of friendly people in party mood having a good time in and outside the pubs. The city actually has a big Irish population and you’ll find many great and authentic Irish pubs there. Düsseldorf Old Town is also said to have the longest bar on earth, cause there are so many pubs next to each other. Cheers!

If that hasn’t made you thirsty for a Düsseldorf weekend break I don’t know what will!
