Sharm el Sheikh has long been one of the most desirable holiday destinations for British people, primarily because of its warm climate and beautiful beaches, but also because of its amazing scuba diving opportunities. Here’s your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

You will be staying in the 4* Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay Hotel, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 83% as well as having won the Travellers’ Choice Award for a “Bargain”. You will be staying here on an all-inclusive basis, so you’ll hardly have to lift a finger whilst you’re on this holiday.

The hotel has various facilities, such as a beautiful swimming pool and a separate children’s pool, so you won’t get splashed in the face constantly. You will also be able to get all of your food and drink from the main restaurant in the hotel, which is said to be really good!

Whilst you’re there, in January, it won’t be as hot as it would be in Summer, but it averages about 22°C at this time of year, making it significantly more pleasant than most other places we would think of going to. The weather shouldn’t stop you getting out and about whilst on this holiday. I would definitely recommend heading to the beach to try out either scuba diving or snorkelling. I prefer scuba diving, because you get a much better view of everything and all the wildlife is a lot closer than if you’re just on the top of the water.

You could also head into the desert and go on a 4 x 4 jeep safari, which is a surprisingly exhilarating experience, and also quite bumpy. Definitely take water with you on this expedition. I would, however, recommend the camel option. I love a good camel ride, there’s no explanation for why, it’s incredibly cliché and ridiculously obvious, but it is really good fun. Beware motion sickness though… it can creep up on you when you least expect it!

This deal is available to you through thomascook.com for only £326 per person, which includes your 7 Night 4* all-inclusive stay and your flights. It’s a really good way for you to get away from the January blues that hit everybody in the UK in one way or another. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience something new and be able to put your feet up!
