Iceland is known for various reasons, such as its capital, the infamous Blue Lagoon, strange food delicacies and geysers amongst other things. This deal gives you the opportunity to visit as many of these as you can, whilst enjoying some time with your friends.

You will be staying in the Hotel 66, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 3.5/5. This rating is an average one, so from this hotel you can expect a very basic set up, more of a hostel style arrangement. However, it’s located really centrally and is definitely a great way for you to explore this beautiful country on a budget.

If you wanted to go on a tour, I could recommend using attractiontix.co.uk. They have some really good tours available across the world, so it’s definitely worth looking at. The one I think looks best is the City Sightseeing and Blue Lagoon Trip. This is the perfect way for you to see everything. You will start in the capital with the most noted places such as the presidential residence and the Hallgrimskirkja church.

You would then be treated to a trip to the geothermal spa; the Blue Lagoon. It’s the highlight, so definitely take your swim wear. The tour is actually the best way for you to see as much as possible, but not have to have the stress of trying to get there on your own. This tour costs £43 per person!

Even if you do this tour, I would definitely recommend hiring a car on carrentals.co.uk because it makes getting around the city a lot easier. It’s also quite a long way from the airport into the city centre, so it would mean you don’t have to pay extortionate amounts for a taxi or shuttle service.

This deal is available to you on expedia.co.uk for £136 per person. This includes your Hotel and your Flights. If you wanted to add in the tour, it would bring up the total cost to £179 per person, which is still a bargain! This is a really good opportunity for you to get away with some people who share the same love of travelling as you do, and discover the beauty of Iceland.
