Kandy

On your way to Kandy you’ll be off on your first excursion to the Spice Garden in Matale. After your excursion you’ll arrive in Kandy, the second largest city in Sri Lanka and the final capital of the ancient kings. Haputale

Following from Kandy you will be off to Haputale but not before stopping off in Nuwara Eliya, known as ‘Little England’ this stretch of Sir Lanka is home to the tea plantations. On some days the weather is said to be like a spring day in Britain…. (I feel a sonnet coming on). The influence of the British Empire is most visible here in the architecture in various local buildings and country cottages. After Nuwara Eliya you will head to Haptuale for 1 night. Your stay here is at the Olympus Plaza Hotel, which is a favourite on TripAdvisor with a rating of 4/5 and a Certificate of Excellence. 

Ratnapura

Your stay in Ratnapura is for 4 nights and you’ll be staying in the Ratnaloka Tour Inns on Full Board basis. Ratnapura is a real treat, translating from Sanskrit as the ‘City of Gems’. During your stay here you will visit the gem museum and gem mines, where you can try your luck at gem mining. Other activities here include a Cookery Lesson and Jeep Safari. There’s also plenty of chance for optional extras and time to yourself before heading to your final stop of the trip.

Tangalle
