China is definitely one of the most interesting countries in the world. With an enormous amount of history that is completely different to that of our own Nation, it really is a place that piques the interest of a lot of people. This is your chance to explore China in its entirety.

Your 2 Week Tour of China

The deal I have found you is available on Travelbird for just £1,349 per person. This includes your 5* Hotels, a 5* Cruise, Flights from London Heathrow or Dublin (for Dublin flights you need to contact Travelbird directly), internal Flights & Transfers, All meals (bar one lunch), the activities listed in the itinerary, all local tips as well as an English-speaking guide to make your tour as easy as possible!

You will be flying into Beijing, where you’ll be taken to the first of your hotels. You will be staying in the 5* Lijingwan Beijing International Hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do with what you will… personally I’d rest up a bit after the overnight flight and then go and take in the surroundings. Your dinner here is also included!

great wall Beijing, China

The following day is when you go and visit some of the most famous sites, such as Tian’anmen Square, the Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven and so much more. It’s worth noting that the Forbidden City wasn’t able to be visited until very recently, so this is a treat that lots of people haven’t been able to see before! The evening will be rounded off with a visit to the Beijing Opera; one of the most famous things about China!

The following day is one for the bucket list ticks; it’s the visit to the Great Wall of China. Everybody knows the history of the Great Wall of China, why it was built, the wars fought etc. etc. but seeing it in person is something completely different. It’s absolutely mesmerising. You’ll also then go and see the Ming Tombs- where 13 emperors have been buried… it’s fascinating.

Day five is the day of the Summer Palace as well as a Beijing Hutong Tour in a rickshaw! This is all before you fly to Xi’an to check into the next of your luxury hotels. Here you’ll be staying in the Xi’an HNA Hotel.

This is the area in which you’ll be able to visit the Terracotta Army. This is often considered to be one of the most important excavations of the 20th century… it’s also considered to be the eighth wonder of the world.  You’ll also get to enjoy a Tang Dynasty Dance!

On Day 7, you will then be transferred to the airport after breakfast and jet off to Chongqing to visit the Panda Zoo, before clambering aboard the 5* Sinorama Diamond Cruise’ll be staying here for 4 nights!

This luxury ship cruises down the Yangtze River, which in itself is a treat; the sights you will see are really spectacular. You’ll visit the Shibaozhai, Shennv Stream, Qutang & Wu Gorges, Three Gorges Dam, Jingzhou Old Town & City as well as being provided with all of your meals whilst you’re on board. From here, you will be transferred to Wuhan, where you’ll spend a night at the Wuhan Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza Hotel*****.

Once you get off the ship, you’ll fly straight to Shanghai, before transferring across to Su Zhou, where you’ll stay in another 5* Hotel. This one is the Grace Hotel Suzhou. The following day, once you’ve settled in again, you’ll head to the beautiful Liu Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage Site),  a silk factory and then given some free time to explore on your own.

Following this you’ll return to Shanghai, where you’ll check into your 5* Wyndham Bund East Shanghai. Here you’ll visit the Shanghai Museum as well as exploring Nanjing Road before finishing off the trip with a bang by going to see an acrobatics show!

This really is the trip of a lifetime. It’s the way for you to go and explore the best that China has to offer, but do it in a luxurious and controlled manor so that you feel as comfortable as possible whilst exploring this truly fascinating country.

There are 2 routes included in the deal, this is the itinerary of Route A  – meaning Route B is slightly different regarding timings and hotels,  please be aware of this when booking – you can find the full details of both routes through the link below.
