Zante is a small island in the Ionian sea and the most southern island of Greece. Even if it’s so small this island has so much to offer and is surprisingly very green. Zante has a wonderful natural setting with interesting rock formations, caves, clear waters and beautiful beaches. A holiday to this place is perfect for those of you who love to spend relaxing days and need to refill the energy. A few days here and your worries have gone!
The little seaside village Argassi for example is the nesting place of the famous and rare loggerhead turtle. Maybe you get lucky and see one of them during your stay and if you want to see another interesting sight in Zante then head to the Navagio beach. It’s is also known as the ‘ship wreck beach’ and probably the most photographed spot in Greece. The beach is only accessible by boat and as it’s on the north-western side of the island. Means that in the morning there will be no sun and therefore it would be better to visit this place in the afternoon when the sun is shining.

And your Holidayguru knows that many of you would like to travel alone and that’s why I tried to find you a relaxing holiday to a beautiful place for a decent price. Hope you like it :) So to all my single travellers, check out this holiday package that I have found on you fly from Bristol to stunning Zante including your stay in the 2 star Dias Hotel (excellent 5/5 on TripAdvisor + Certificate of Excellence) with transfer for only £190.
You’ll stay in Kalamaki which is the closest resort to the airport of Zante, but is still one of the most calmest resorts of the island. The resort provides many Greek tavernas and restaurants and the nightlife here in Kalamaki exists, but it’s not very bustling. The Dias Hotel is only 500 metres from the beach away and only 100 metres to the nearest bars and restaurants. It also runs an outdoor pool framed by sounloungers and parasols and a privately owned taverna.
Just note that you might hear some air plane noises during the day, but the noise is not too intrusive and night flights are prohibited. So don’t worry too much about that fact and look forward to a relaxing holiday experience.

And should you say ‘okay now I could have some action and more nightlife’, then take a taxi to Laganas which is quite contrary to Kalamaki the most liveliest resort of Zante. It’s only a short taxi drive of 8 mins from Kalamaki and taxi prices ranges around £5 each way. The beach of Laganas is also the longest beach of the island and definitely worth a visit. Enjoy your holiday!
