Experience beautiful Eastern France with this great group accommodation deal for an up to 11-person chalet set in the Rhône-Alpes region, just outside France’s second city, Lyon.

5 Nights Group Accommodation With Self-Catered Chalet In France For Up To 11 People

This exciting group accommodation offer is perfect for a larger group of friends, or families, who are planning a summer getaway on the continent. Offering a chalet in a prime location – the beautiful French village of Trévoux in easy reach of the vibrant city of Lyon – the chalet opens up a world of options to explore this idyllic region of Eastern France.

The group accommodation offer from Travelbird gives you 5 nights in a modern wooden chalet for up to 11 people, making it a steal at just £235 (or £21 each). Group accommodation is notoriously tricky to find, particularly in summer, which is what makes this deal so special.

Although travel is not included, the chalets are incredibly well located, just 15 miles from Lyon which has easy access via Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport, TGV and of course by car. The chalet comes with two free parking spaces, making it perfect for larger groups travelling together. Great flight deals are available from the likes of expedia.co.ukebookers.com  and easyjet.com, so it’s well worth a look to bag a bargain.

Kanopée Village Chalets, just by the charming village of Trévoux and set by the River Saône, are large wooden chalets with enough space for 11 people, built on stilts and offering great views of the river. The chalets have a living room and dining area, kitchen and of course bathroom. There are two bedrooms, making it the perfect place for a joint family getaway, along with a loft with five single beds. Outside there is a large terrace where you can relax, watch the river go by and enjoy a slice of la vie en rose. There’s also plenty to keep everyone active, both young and old – with an entertainment programme for kids, sports facilities and the option to rent bikes, as well as a wellness area with Turkish baths and a sauna and access to the nearby Les Cascades water park, you’ll never be bored. This hotel scores 4/5 on TripAdvisor.

If you can tear yourself away from the many distractions on offer at the site itself, the nearby village of Trévoux is well worth a visit, with it’s historic past proudly on display for all to see. The large city of Lyon is also a great excursion – Lyon vies with Marseilles to be considered the second city of France, but ask any lyonnais and they’ll soon set you straight by telling you that Lyon has everything a second city needs and more. With the beautiful renaissance old town of Vieux Lyon and the Fourviere hill with it’s impressive basilica above, Lyon has plenty of history to offer. The old quarter is also criss-crossed by covered alleyways just waiting to be explored, a legacy of Lyon’s silk-weaving industry. The former industrial area of the Croix Rousse has become a hipstery art quarter, offering great views over the city. Residents of Lyon are also queueing up to discover yet another cultural string in the city’s bow – the brand new Musée des Confluences has exciting exhibits to be discovered by young and old alike. Aside from all this, Lyon is also famed for it’s culinary prowess, with traditional bouchon restaurants offering lyonnaise classics at competitive prices. This offer is just waiting to be scooped up, with perfect group accommodation for your trip to this gorgeous corner of France.
