Everybody loves a bit of glamping, so why not head to Scotland to try it with different surroundings? It’s the perfect quick and easy staycation, with you staying just outside of Edinburgh.

You will be staying in the Drummohr Holiday Park in either a hexi- or an octolodge cabin. This glamping experience has been awarded 80% on TripAdvisor as well as receiving a Certificate of Excellence for 2014. The area you will be staying in was originally the walled garden of a monastery, so that gives you an idea of how pretty the surrounding area can be. This is a self-catering glamping stay, so don’t forget to pick up a few bits on the way!

I would recommend, during the days, that you explore the surroundings a little bit. I think that heading into Edinburgh would be a really good way to make the most of it. Once in Edinburgh there is so much that you can do! There is the obvious must-see Castle, because everybody has heard of it.

Outside of this, you won’t be short for things to do. I would really recommend heading to a Whiskey shop and sampling some local whiskey; it is something that few (if any) countries do better than the Scots. Definitely worth building up your stock. Other than that, just by walking around you will discover some beautiful little side streets, run into some really fun people and just have a generally good time.

This deal is available to you through groupon.co.uk for only £39 per stay, so £19.50 per person. This is the price for a 2 night mid-week stay. If you wanted to increase your stay to a 3 night stay then you would be able to do so during the booking process for a total of £69 in total.

This is the perfect quick staycation. It’s affordable, it’s really good fun and it’s also a really easy way to get yourself out of the house.
