Vienna has long been one of the favourite Christmas Markets in Europe. Vienna’s Christmas markets are the oldest of them all. This is where the entire tradition began in the first place. It is no surprise to anybody that they seem to have perfected this art significantly better than anyone else has. The city has over 20 Advent Markets, meaning you will be completely spoilt for choice on this holiday.

You will be staying in the Austria Trend Hotel Anatol for 2 nights. Here you will be provided with breakfast every morning of your stay, meaning you don’t have to rush out early to try and find somewhere to go. This hotel has received a great TripAdvisor rating of 82% and has also been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for 2014.

The deal I have found you is on travelbird.co.uk and will cost you £57 per person. Included in this deal is your hotel stay, breakfast and a gourmet package at the Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Markets. With this package you will be able to claim back one meal, one hot drink and one beer each. This is the perfect way for you to see the Christmas markets, and also one of the cheapest ways.

Your flights are not included in this deal. I would recommend finding flights on easyjet.com where you will be able to find flights for around £100 per person, depending on the dates.

These Christmas Markets are the perfect way for you to start feeling Christmassy. With a huge Christmas tree, nativity scenes, choirs performing songs for passers by, there’s really not a lot else that you could need to get you into the Christmas Spirit. I would definitely recommend heading to see different Markets, not just he Schönbrunn Palace Market. Although it is one of my favourites, there are so many more to see.

The Christmas Village Maria-Theresien Platz is the epitome of Christmas spirit. I went to Vienna nearer Christmas time, so 15th December-ish and this market could not have done more for my inner child. I looked around completely wide-eyed and loving every minute of it. Gorging myself on everything I could find, I just had to walk around and marvel at the beauty. I would definitely recommend this one.

Vienna is an absolutely stunning city that needs to be explored. It is definitely at its best during the Christmas period and it would be a travesty to pass up an opportunity like this.
