Istanbul is one of those iconic cities that everybody needs to visit at least once in their lifetime. Full of history dating back nearly 3000 years, it really is no wonder that it is now renowned as a centre of culture. It is also, incidentally the only city in the world that is located on two continents!

You will be staying in the 4* Home Stay Home Apartment, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 5/5. You will be staying here on a room-only basis, so you don’t have to worry about getting up in time for breakfast or anything like that. You will also be in a group of 4, so it will make getting out and about easier and more fun!

Whether you want to walk through the streets, enjoy the aromas floating around or see all of the sights you won’t be disappointed. You should definitely make a trip to the Sultanahmet district, which is a really charming and historic area with so much for you to see. It is, incidentally, the best place for you to buy a traditional Turkish rug!

I would also really recommend heading to the Cagaloglu Hamam, which is a road that is famous for its beautiful hararets (steam rooms). These date back to the 18th century, and these baths are definitely worth a visit. It’s a really great way for you to spend a few hours relaxing.

For New Year’s Eve in Istanbul you won’t be left wondering where everybody is! There is a great fireworks display every year that can be seen from along the river. However, I would recommend buying tickets for one of the events in the clubs or restaurants, they’re really good fun and a great way to socialise with other people travelling there for the same reason as you!

This deal is available to you for expedia.co.uk for £322 per person, based on 4 adults sharing. This includes your 10 night 4* Hotel stay as well as your flights! This is the perfect way for you to have an extended New Year’s Break for you to unwind after the crazy Christmas period.
