I have found this really good deal for a Mediterranean Cruise! This cruise will take you from Spain, to Morocco and then on to Portugal. It’s the perfect way to see all three countries without having to lift a finger!

The ship is called the “Aurora” and is a P&O Cruise. This company is one of the most trusted Cruise companies in the World, so you can feel safe in that knowledge! Whilst on board, all of your meals and snacks will be included, so all you will need to spend money on will be drinks! This is an 11 night cruise, so be sure to take the right amount of time off work! This cruise sets sail from Southampton on 18/11/2014.

Where will this Cruise take You?

Spending the day at sea you will arrive into La Coruna in Spain. This is a beautiful part of Spain’s Atlantic coast, where you could spend some time on the beach (although it won’t be that warm). What I would recommend doing would be to head into the city and visit a few of the main attractions. I really like the Tower of Hercules, mainly because it’s really old and is actually the only lighthouse of antiquity that is still in operation. It’s also a World Heritage Site!

After stopping here you will head over to Casablanca in Morocco. In Casablanca there is plenty to keep you occupied, I would recommend the Hassan II Mosque. This is actually along the shoreline of the Medina and dominates the entire city, so it won’t be difficult for you to find. This mosque is absolutely beautiful and can hold an astonishing amount of people (around 25,000). If you wanted to have a look around there are guided tours that you can take (that’s how big it is!) You should also definitely look around the Medina, it’s really quirky and interesting.

Following this you will make your way to Malaga. Here is the place for you to just relax and enjoy yourself and your Mediterranean surroundings. If you get the chance I would definitely recommend heading to go and see a flamenco show, they’re really good fun and actually kind of inspiring. Makes you want to stand up and start copying the moves, definitely not recommended at the show, maybe have some lessons when you get home.

You will then get to experience some time in Cadiz, often thought of as the oldest city in Western Europe. Cadiz has so many historical buildings that you’ll be spoilt for choice here. I would really recommend heading to the Cathedral, because it’s beautiful and really good for photos. I also would recommend heading to the Market, it’s really good fun to experience markets in different languages and see all of the hustle and bustle.

The final stop on this trip before heading back to Southampton is Lisbon. Here you will be completely spoilt for choice. Whether you choose to visit the Cathedral of Sao Roque (the most expensive Cathedral in the world) or St Georges Castle, you’ll have a great time. I can also really recommend just walking around the city, the number of beautiful buildings and quirky little shops you’ll find is ridiculous. This is one of my favourite cities, so make the most of your time there!
