Diverse activities and outings on Fiji Islands

Always smiling – that’s the Fiji Islands!

The island country of the Republic of Fiji lies in the South Pacific, north of New Zealand and east of Australia. Suva, the capital city, is located on the bigger of the two main islands: Viti Levu, which measures around 10,000km². The second main island Vanua Levu is half as big. Altogether these two islands, of volcanic origin, make for almost 9/10 of the total surface area of Fiji. Further 330 islands, 110 of which are inhabited, emerge from coral reefs. Contrary to the common assumption, Fiji isn’t just made up of endless dream-like beaches. About 2/3 of the land is forested. A characteristic which always strikes the visitors of the islands is that the inhabitants of the islands are always happy and always smiling, even despite occasional hardships. These smiles are infectuous, so join in and spend a wonderful holiday on the Fiji Islands! You can reach Fiji using one of the two international airports in Nadi and Siva (Nausori). You won’t need a visa for a stay which doesn’t exceed 4 months, but you should have a return ticket and show that you have enough funds. The exotic fauna and flora offers a biodiversity which can hardly be found anywhere else in the world. You can find mangroves all around the islands and there are particularly many frog and bird species found exclusively in the Fiji Islands.

The Fiji Islands are very multifaceted – there are rainforests, heavenly beaches and gorgeous temples on the islands.
