Black Friyay Flights

Whether you’re looking to relax in the beautiful Italian countryside or explore a fascinating city, these flights pretty much tick all the right boxes. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll be bound to find cheap flights to a destination that’s right up your street. I’ve picked out 5 top destinations below, but remember that this is just a small fraction of the flights available!

Prague, Czech Republic

The capital of the Czech Republic is a big name amongst city break destinations. With a wealth of well-preserved architecture, you’ll feel like you’re being transported to another time and place when you stroll along the venerable cobblestone streets. And that’s not to mention the fantastic nightlife as well – the Czech Republic is home to superb breweries and the cheap cost of living means you can really treat yourself to some fantastic food or a fancy cocktail without having to break the bank.

I’ve spotted flights to Prague starting from just £28 in January 2019. This also comes with the advantage that the prices of accommodation at this time of year will also be much cheaper as well! I’ve listed some dates for you below – the cheapest flights were all departing from London but if you play around with the search you should be able to find reasonable flights from other regions in the UK. :)

Lisbon, Portugal

First things first, take a ride on tram 28. Lisbon is renowned for its little yellow, rattling trams and the top journey is like a ride through history as you pass along various majestic palaces and castles along the route, before pulling up to the domes of Estrela Basilica. Portugal’s unique capital which is set across 7 hills provide excellent viewing points where you can get panoramic vistas of lovely Lisbon! The compact Alfama District is Lisbon’s oldest town and offers a network of winding alleyways and cute al fresco cafes around hidden corners. Whilst you’re in the area be sure to visit the impressive St. Georges Castle, which was built over 2000 years ago and makes for camera-worthy vistas!

Copenhagen, Denmark

It’s no wonder that Denmark is the birthplace of Hans Christen Anderson – some of the streets in Copenhagen look like they’re straight out of a fairytale! Make sure to check out Copenhagen’s most well-known spots such as the Tivoli Gardens amusement park, Town Hall Square and the Mermaid Statue. With historic canals and a beautiful Old Town contrasting with modern design, this city is the best of both worlds.  You should also check out the city’s historic centre, Frederiksstaden, an 18th-century rococo district and the Amalienborg Palace. I recommend hopping on a bike while you’re there to get a real feel for the city. To get some mouth-watering Danish and international food, check out the Copenhagen Street Food Hall.

Barcelona, Spain

The Sagrada Familia, Casta Batllo, Parc Güell – these are just a few of the many breathtaking landmarks that attest to the legacy that Gaudí left behind! Barcelona is an incredibly popular choice for city breaks thanks to its many lovely neighbourhoods, sandy beaches and fantastic dining and nightlife options. It’s one of Spain’s best cities to explore, yet it comes with a distinct Catalonian edge that distinguishes it from other major cities such as Madrid and Valencia. For a fantastic day trip, why not head up into the mountains to discover the hidden Montserrat Monastery, or head up to Mount Tibidabo to enjoy sweeping views of the city far below!

I’ve spotted some great deals going to Barcelona in December 2018 and January, February and March 2019!

Stockholm, Sweden

The beautiful Swedish capital has lots to offer for all types of people! It’s an absolutely unique city in that it is spread across 14 islands, connected by 57 bridges! Museum lovers will be happy with the selection here, such as the Vasamuseet, home to the Vasa warship, the history museum and the modern art museum. If you fancy a more relaxed approach to seeing Stockholm or need some time out, I recommend a wander around Tantolunden park. Gamala Stan is the old town area of the city, it has quaint cobbled streets mixed in with grand palaces so is definitely worth a walk through too! Swedish food extends to more than just the meatballs served by IKEA! While you’re there, be sure to try out some specialties like palt (potato dumplings) and lingonberry jam!

Those are just a small selection of the many destinations going right now! I’d recommend checking out our Flight Finder tool and having a little look to see what deals are going right now!
