Who doesn’t love cheap flights! It opens the world of travel up to everyone, and offers people a fantastic opportunity to finally cross off a few destinations off their bucketlist. Today I’ve noticed that there are loads of flights to top destinations across Europe starting from around £20pp! I’d say that’s a fairly nice way to start the week!

Monday Flights Madness

Whether you’re looking to relax in the beautiful Italian countryside or explore a fascinating city, these flights pretty much tick all the right boxes. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll be bound to find cheap flights to a destination that’s right up your street. I’ve picked out 5 top destinations below, but remember that this is just a small fraction of the flights available!

Prague, Czech Republic

The capital of the Czech Republic is a big name amongst city break destinations. With a wealth of well-preserved architecture, you’ll feel like you’re being transported to another time and place when you stroll along the venerable cobblestone streets. And that’s not to mention the fantastic nightlife as well – the Czech Republic is home to superb breweries and the cheap cost of living means you can really treat yourself to some fantastic food or a fancy cocktail without having to break the bank.

I’ve spotted flights to Prague starting from just £20 in October and November. This also comes with the advantage that the prices of accommodation at this time of year will also be much cheaper as well! I’ve listed some dates for you below – the cheapest flights were all departing from London but if you play around with the search you should be able to find reasonable flights from other regions in the UK. :)

Venice, Italy

There’s no denying the fact that Venice is one of the most iconic city breaks you can do. The intricate maze of canals and breathtaking Venetian architecture are truly stunning, and you can just really sense the history and atmosphere here. And should you fancy a little change of scenery, simply hop on the vaporetto water taxi and get exploring some of the lovely islands of the Venetian lagoon such as Murano and Burano!

These flights are also for Autumn/Winter, meaning that the huge crowds of tourists will be long gone. Sure, you’ll have to wrap up a bit as it does get quite chilly in the lagoon, but I actually find that the misty weather and empty streets adds a really mysterious edge to the city. Fascinating stuff!

Pula, Croatia

Over the past few years, Croatia has gone on to be come one of the most up-and-coming sun destinations in Europe. And it’s easy to see why – gorgeous coastlines, historic cities and mouthwatering cuisine mean that any trip to Croatia is going to be unforgettable. The city of Pula is no exception. Featuring the world’s best preserved Roman amphitheatre (sorry, Rome!), this breathtaking city exemplifies the typical romantic atmosphere of the Adriatic coast, and it also serves as a gateway to other stunning towns such as Rovinj, Motovun and Groznjan.

There were only a few dates going in October, but it’s still a great time to visit Croatia. Climates are still lovely and mild, the prices of accommodation will be cheaper and you’ll have less tourists to contend with, meaning you’ll have a much more authentic experience.

Barcelona, Spain

The Sagrada Familia, Casta Batllo, Parc Güell – these are just a few of the many breathtaking landmarks that attest to the legacy that Gaudí left behind! Barcelona is an incredibly popular choice for city breaks thanks to its many lovely neighbourhoods, sandy beaches and fantastic dining and nightlife options. It’s one of Spain’s best cities to explore, yet it comes with a distinct Catalonian edge that distinguishes it from other major cities such as Madrid and Valencia. For a fantastic day trip, why not head up into the mountains to discover the hidden Montserrat Monastery, or head up to Mount Tibidabo to enjoy sweeping views of the city far below!

I’ve spotted some great deals going to Barcelona in October, November and December – mostly from London, but there were also some good prices going from Liverpool as well!

Gdansk, Poland

Here’s a destination you might not have considered before! Krakow tends to be the first city that comes to mind when we mention Polish city break destinations, but I really recommend checking out the charming harbour city of Gdansk if you love old architecture and cosy atmosphere. Part of a tri-city area, Gdansk’s rich maritime history has resulted in a wealth of beautiful architectural styles. You’ll love strolling along the canals, checking out all the lovely restaurants in the Long Lane and feasting on Polish cuisine! Plenty of day trips can be done too, whether it’s visiting Sopot, another of the tri-cities, wandering around Malbork castle or even exploring the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad.

I found plenty of flights going in Autumn from various UK aiports such as Manchester, London and Belfast. :)

Those are just a small selection of the many destinations going right now! France, Norway, Sweden, Ireland… The list really does go on. I’d recommend checking out our Flight Finder tool and having a little look to see what deals are going right now! And if you need some accommodation to go along with it, then you can use the handy button below to find some fantastic deals as well. Enjoy! :)
