If you’re looking for a great holiday this year, then can I suggest Cadiz? It’s a beautiful spot right at the bottom of Spain, and right on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The weather is so much nicer than back at home, the sightseeing opportunities are incredible, and the food is simply indescribable. Try some calentita, which is a delicious cake made with chickpea flour, and a speciality of Gibraltar which is where you will fly into. If you’d like to soak up the atmosphere here, then maybe this Spanish getaway in December is just what you’ve been looking for.

You’ll stay in the beautiful 4* Bodega Realwhich is rated 4/5 on TripAdvisor. It’s found in the little village of El Puerto de Santa Maria on the south west coast of Spain in the region of Andalusia. You can be guaranteed some gorgeous sea views out to the Bay of Cadiz, as well as being able to feast on its fruits with lots of delicious seafood in the restaurants around your hotel room. If the thought of fresh seafood doesn’t tempt you, then try out some of the other great eateries around the town. There’s Indian, Mexican or traditional Spanish delicacies on offer so there’s plenty of options for any taste!

You’re about 12 miles from the main city of Cadiz too, which has a huge range of spots to discover. Check out the old churches here, or grab a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. Don’t forget to go and have a look at the harbour! A day trip to Cadiz is definitely a trip worth making.

I found this great deal over on Loveholidays so be sure you book with them directly. Have a great time!
