Often referred to as the “Island of the Gods” and renowned for the natural beauty and rich culture, Bali is becoming an increasingly popular destination. It’s the perfect combination of beaches, mountainous landscapes and cultural intrigues to whet your appetite and leave you wanting more!

This deal I found is available on travelbird.co.uk for just £1,129 per person. This includes your 13 Nights in various hotels, checked luggage, a daily Breakfast, meet and greet at the airport, day activities and excursions (including any costs involved), private transfers throughout the trip as well as an English-speaking travel guide! It’s the definition of getting a lot for your money.

Your Tour of Bali

Your first stop, after your flight, is Ubud. Whilst on the way to this town you will visit some really beautiful villages. Celluk, famed for silver, is the first one and the second one is Mas, which has some really beautiful carvings- please do not forget your camera.

Once you arrive in Ubud, you will check into the Villa Chempaka, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4/5. You will be spending 3 nights here and will be provided with a daily breakfast throughout the stay! I really like this hotel, because you stay overlooking a tropical garden, which really helps you settle into your trip and just enjoy the way of life in Bali.

On the third day of your trip, you will be going to visit some traditional rice fields, which are situated to the north of Ubud. There are stunning views from here, but the views don’t stop when you leave, they just keep on coming, definitely worth it. You’ll continue on to the stunning Monkey Forest, where you’ll obviously get to see monkeys, but also temples and sacred trees.

The following day will give you a chance to catch your breath a bit, leaving you to explore the town of Ubud at your own pace. You could sleep in, relax at the hotel, or stroll around in search of more of an idea of the traditional way of life in this quirky town. There’s always the option for you to go on adventure, but it would cost you extra; sometimes you have to go all out though, don’t you?!

You will then head to Candi Dasa, which is a town in the eastern part of Bali. You’ll get to visit a traditional Balinese village, see the justice court of the Klungkung kingdom and the biggest Hindu Temple in Bali, all before checking into your hotel! Here you will be staying in the Alam Asmara Dive Resort Bali, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5/5 as well as being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014. You will be staying here for 2 nights!

Whilst here, you’ll get to visit Tenganan, which has really stunning traditional houses build entirely of natural materials which are surrounded by an 11th century fortress! You’ll then also stop at the breath taking Goa Lawah Temple, where thousands of tail bats live.

On Day 7 you’ll be driven to the mountain resort of Kintamani, where you’ll have some stunning views of Lake Batur and also Mount Batur (an active volcano). You’ll then get the chance to visit some more temples. No two temples are the same, so do not take these visits for granted. You’ll then finish the day in Lovina, where you’ll get to spend 2 nights in the excellent Bali Taman Hotel, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5/5 as well as being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014.

You’ll then be given another relaxation day to explore Lovina. If it were me, I would head out on a dolphin tour or something, just to keep myself going. That and also -DOLPHINS- so that’s always a bonus.

The following day you’ll visit the beautiful Gitgit Waterfall before continuing onto Beratan Lake. This is where the water temple of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is. There are also some really great photo opportunities here because you’re surrounded by mountains; really stunning. You’ll then be able to visit another temple on the way to your next location and some more Balinese rice fields!

You will then check into the Kuta Playa Hotel, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 3.5/5. If this hotel isn’t available, you’ll be checked into a hotel which is similar. This is where you will spend the rest of your trip. You can do as you please with the rest of your time. Kuta beach is incredibly famous, and for good reason, so a few days sat relaxing on it wouldn’t do you any harm. If you get the chance I would recommend visiting the Kuta Theatre for a show, it’s really fun to go and see a traditional show!

This trip is really something special. It’s not every day you get to visit one of the most beautiful islands in Asia and explore all that it has to offer whilst absorbing a culture and trying foods that are completely alien to us. Do not miss out on this opportunity.
