Head to the city that is considered to be the “best beach city” by National Geographic, the city to thank for World Book Day and the city whose hallmark grid pattern is infamous. Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, now is your chance to go and explore it.

You will be staying in the 4.5* H10 Art Gallery, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 84%. This hotel is located really centrally to Barcelona and the perfect place to use as a base while you discover the city. The hotel does have an outdoor pool, which might be very necessary in the month of July, as well as a restaurant that you can choose to use if you want to. This deal is available on expedia.co.uk for only £342 per person. This deal includes your 4.5* Hotel stay and your Flights.

Whilst you’re in Barcelona you’ll have more than enough to keep you occupied. As you probably know, this is the city where Picasso spent his youth. Whilst here you could follow the footsteps and see all of the landmarks that shaped his youth. There is also the Museu Picasso, which is where you can go and see some of his works from his formative years.

Naturally, whilst here, you’re going to have to fill yourself up on tapas and vermouth; it would be criminal not to. Traditionally you eat tapas by picking through it with toothpicks and you get charged for the number of toothpicks you use. My favourite place to have tapas in Barcelona is El Jabali, it’s so good and is also really relaxed, so it’s the perfect place for you to enjoy a beer or two and try something a bit different.

If you’re looking for views, then going up Montjuiic Mountain is the best way to get them. Walking does take quite a while, but because of this it’s not a touristy and really enjoyable. The views from here are simply stunning, so don’t forget to bring your camera.

This is the perfect way for you to get some sun, head to the beach but also enjoy learning more about a different city with a really rich history.
