The Dominican Republic is the prime choice for a tropical vacation. With landscapes varying from postcard perfect beaches to wild mountain scenery, there’s much more to this island than simply sunbathing.

7 nights nights in Domincan Republic

Tropical holidays need not be as expensive as we always imagine. No longer just for the rich and famous this deal to the Dominican Republic makes the exotic affordable for the family.

Thanks to the fine ladies and gents at Thomas Cook you could  be enjoying a week away with the family in the Dominican Republic for just £597 per person. This package just covers your flights and hotel but additional extras such as transfers can be added at a price.

Flying  from London Gatwick to Punta Cana in April, transfers are not included but can be added with Thomas Cook for £120 for the whole group. Alternatively check out your transfer options here.

The hotel you’ll be staying at is the Iberostar Dominicana. Here you will have two outdoor swimming pools, a buffet restaurant, ice cream parlour and sun terraces all within your reach. The Dominicana scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor and with the white beach just within arms’ reach it’s easy to understand why. With a relaxed atmosphere it is really family friendly – and there’s a spa available for mum when the kids get too much.

As for the island itself the Dominican Republic has lots to do. I advise that you take the children to go Whale Spotting, all the Xboxes and iPhones in the world couldn’t recreate the magic of seeing these great creatures up close. But trying telling the kids that!

With April just round the corner it would be stupid to miss out on this offer.

Jet away this April
