Who doesn’t love the idea of escaping for a week to a stunning island in the middle of the Ionian Sea? This deal to Cephalonia gives you the chance to do exactly that!

You will be staying in the Dionysos Village Resort, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5/5 as well as being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014. You will be staying here on a self-catering basis, so you are completely on your own schedule; you can sleep in if you want to, or maybe not have dinner until the sun has gone down. The island is your oyster.

Your hotel transfers are included in this deal, however, I would recommend hiring a car. I think that on Cephalonia a car is an absolute necessity, mainly because it’s not particularly flat, making walking anywhere quite an effort, but also because the beauty of the island isn’t confined to the area that you’re in and it would be a shame for you to miss out on it!

Cephalonia is really spectacular for scuba diving or snorkelling. There are lots of different bays for you to try snorkelling in, as well as a massive expanse of sea out there for you to discover whilst diving. For me, it’s one of the best ways to explore the island.

If you fancied treating yourself to a meal out, I would definitely recommend a restaurant called Phaedra Restaurant. It is a traditional Greek restaurant, which serves really good food and always makes you feel welcome. Definitely a must whilst on this holiday!

This deal is available to you on thomascook.co.uk for only £272 per person. This includes your 7 night Hotel Stay, Flights and Transfers. It’s the excuse you’ve been looking for to book a holiday slightly in advance so you can sit back safe in the knowledge that you will definitely be abroad in 6 months!
