Madeira is one of those islands that everybody has heard of, that nobody is quite sure exactly where it is and that everybody knows there must be a reason it’s famous but not sure why. Well with this deal you will have the chance to find out!

You will be staying in the Cheefulway Bravamar Hotel for your 7 night stay. This hotel has received a TripAdvisor rating of 77%. Your hotel is situated in the Ribeira Brava, which is only a 20 minute drive from the city of Funchal and about 30 minutes from the airport. It’s in a great location, however I would definitely recommend you rent a car whilst you’re on your holiday because the island needs to be explored.

Your flights are also included in this deal from This deal will cost you £149 per person. The price of this deal does change depending on when you go; October is significantly more expensive than any of the other months available through this offer, so it’s definitely worth keeping that in mind. The cheapest dates are in November – February, because they are the colder months. It’s also worth noting that even though it might not be as warm in Madeira at that time of year, it doesn’t detract from how beautiful the island is.

Whilst on Madeira the main thing for you to do is to explore the island. It offers you mountains to hike, beaches to discover and a range of views that are absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend heading up the mountains if you can, even on an overcast day it’s absolutely beautiful- even driving around is stunning. On your travels around the island you should definitely sample some of the local wine, the desert wine is the best.

If you head into Funchal then there is plenty for you to do there. It ranges from museums to art galleries to wine bars and nightclubs. You have such a wide range of options that no two days will be anywhere near similar. I would also suggest that Funchal would be where to head if you were looking to go out for dinner, there are lots of really good restaurants.

This is a really great opportunity for you to get away for a week and discover a new island. It’s beautiful, it’s exotic yet it’s climate is strangely not tropical. It’s one of the most intriguing islands around, so get brushing up on your Portuguese, pack your phrase book and book the trip away you’ve been craving.
