Spain is well known for its lively culture and spirit, and no where else can you experience this better than the country’s capital Madrid.

Madrid City Break

I’ve put two and two together and got your next Madrid City Break. Thanks to this combo deal from Trivago and Bravofly you could be off to Madrid for under £150 per person. Absolute bargain. It’s worth pointing out here that the dates and flights I have found are merely examples and plenty of providers fly to Madrid from all over the UK, so it’s worth putting in a few minutes to just look around. The hotel also has lots of availability too so you can always change the dates to suit your needs – though prices may vary.

The flights I have found from Ryanair are  from London Stanstead to Madrid. Transfers are not included in this deal so you’re best off checking your transport options here. With options from as little as £1 this really adds minimal costs to your holiday – all the more cash to spend on tapas.

The hotel is the Agora Juan de Austria. Not just any old hotel this 4* hotel is elegantly decorated, enough to make you feel like a regal Spaniard. The style is based around Don Juan of Austria, and after your first night’s sleep you’ll be feeling like the Don. It’s a great location for your Madrid city break, with the closest Metro just 450m away, perfect for exploring the city and getting about. The hotel is favoured on TripAdvisor as well with a rating of 4/5.

To get a true feel for Madrid it’s well worth heading to El Rastro flea market. Originally a meat market the Rastro (the stain) gets its name from the trails of blood from the streets – but don’t worry it’s long since been cleaned up and is now a hub of activity where you can find hidden treasures and mix with the locals. If you’re after something with a bit more serenity then you’ll want to head to the Parque del RetiroThis beautiful park is home to the creatives of the city with buskers playing and everyone having a good time. The perfect place to while away the day, perhaps with a cerveza or two.
