Venice has long been one of the most talked about, desirable cities in Europe. It’s romantic, it’s beautiful and it’s unlike anywhere else in the world. People dream about going there and now, with this deal, you will have the chance to do exactly that; and in style!

3 Night Venice Weekend Break Including Hotel, Breakfast And Flights

I have found a deal to lovely Italy for a romantic Venice weekend break, perfect for a romantic city trip or just to explore this historic city and it’s famous canals.

With this Venice weekend break package from Expedia you will be spending 3 nights in a hotel just outside of Venice in lovely Mira, and have your flights included, all for just £141 per person.

Flights are from London Stansted to Venice, although your airport transfer in Venice is not included – check your options here.

The Hotel La Rescossa is located just outside of Venice in Mira, which is part of the Riviera del Brenta, which is dotted with beautiful mansions built along its banks by the Venetian nobility of the last century. Some of these gorgeous villas are within easy walk of your hotel if you get sick of the hustle and bustle of the city itself! Your hotel also offers a free breakfast. This hotel scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor.

It’s really easy to get into central Venice for your Venice weekend break, because your hotel offers you free train station pick ups and there’s a convenient bus so you can quickly head to St Mark’s Square, which is exactly where you want to be to see all of the sites that Venice is so famous for.

St Mark’s Basilica seems like a natural progression of the day in Piazza San Marco (seeing as it’s right there!) There are of course the normal things like the Bridge of Sighs and punting down the small canals. I would, however, recommend some shopping. Not shoes, or clothes (although it is also the perfect place to buy brilliant Italian designer clothes cheaply) but for glass. Venetian glass can be some of the most beautiful centre pieces that you’ve ever seen, even if you don’t buy anything I seriously recommend going into a shop. There is a really good one just off on Piazza San Marco.

Off a side street there is also a really cool traditional Venetian mask shop. With hundreds of different designs these little gems are a small expense and make a perfect memory of your Venice weekend break. Whilst you’re there, there are always plenty of masked balls going on, so you could actually use your mask!

You definitely won’t get bored whilst you’re here. A Venice weekend break is the perfect excuse for you and a friend or partner to have an adult trip, enjoying wine, good food and seeing all of the sites. What more could you want?
