Eden Project Staycation Including Accommodation And Eden Project Tickets
This great Eden Project staycation offer from TravelBird includes a trip to the Eden Project and a one night stay in either a Bell Tent or Snoozebox, including a family ticket to the Eden Project. During your Eden Project staycation you will be able to spend the day exploring all that the project has to offer, from the rainforest to tree-top walks and waterfalls. It makes for a phenomenal and indeed educational day out, with plenty to keep both the kids and adults occupied. On top of that you will be staying in eco-friendly accommodation in the heart of Cornwall, renowned for being one of the most breathtaking parts of the country.
The YHA Eden Project prides itself on providing sustainable, eco-friendly accommodation, and scores an amazing 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor. It finds new uses for everyday items and provides a wonderful place for you and your family to stay for your Eden Project staycation. On site you’ll find a variety of dining options during Eden Project opening hours throughout the year including, during the summer months, the opportunity to dine in the Eden Project’s famous biomes for an evening meal! At the hostel, there is a light snack menu with a selection of sandwiches, plus hot and cold drinks and a licensed bar.
The Bell Tents are both sophisticated and spacious. These tipi-like tents come equipped with a double bed and three single beds. Each have eco-friendly solar lighting, bed linen and bean bags so you’ll feel right at home. There is a separate shower and toilet block to be used exclusively by campers. The Snoozebox rooms, once shipping containers, fit perfectly with the Eden beliefs of sustainable living and now offer modern en suite bedrooms. They each come equipped with a TV and air conditioning and make for the perfect comfortable base for your family holiday.
So what is the Eden Project All About? The Eden Project is a really fascinating biodome structure. Inside these biodomes are plants that have been collected from across the world and are all being grown here. These domes are made up of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal shapes that have then been inflated: meaning they look like giant bits of bubblewrap. These domes are then heated and mediated to different temperatures to try and emulate the natural growing conditions needed for all of the different species of plants that they have there: one being tropical and the other being Mediterranean.
The biodomes are the most famous part of the project, mainly because of their unusual appearance. However, there is so much more that you can see there. You can see global allotments, a Spiral Garden, a wooden ship built to look like it’s sailing through tea leaves and over 70 other exhibits for you to have a look at: you can easily spend 3 days looking around this Project, it’s really interesting. After your day at the Eden Project you could go and venture into the nearby areas of Cornwall. St Austell and Truro are really not that far away, about a 25 minute drive. Here you’ll be able to go and experience the typical towns of Cornwall and maybe enjoy a bite to eat in a traditional pub or a drink in a sea front cafe.
This Eden Project staycation deal gives you a great opportunity to go and explore a beautiful part of Cornwall whilst staying onsite at the awesome Eden Project and making the most of the time to yourself.
