Everybody has heard of Loch Ness, they wouldn’t be able to place it on a map, but they’ve certainly heard of it. You only know it as the home of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Thousands travel here to go and hunt for her, to no avail. Do you think you would have more luck?

Your will be staying in the 4* Craigdarroch Inn (4/5 on TripAdvisor), which is situated really close to Loch Ness and has beautiful panoramic views across the lake. Whilst staying here you will be provided with Breakfast on both mornings of your stay, taking the pressure off a little bit.

This hotel does have a restaurant and, the first time you eat there in the evening you will receive a complimentary bottle of wine! This is only once per stay, but it definitely makes it worthwhile trying it out and seeing if it’s any good. It also has some really beautiful views across the Lake, which makes it the perfect evening location.

Nearby the hotel is the historic village of Fort Augustus. This village has a population of under 700 people, which is absolutely tiny! It’s an historical village with not that much there. It’s definitely worth a visit though, seeing as it’s so close by anyway. I would definitely recommend, however, heading to the ruins of Urquhart Castle. This is a really cool place to go and let your imagination run wild; who lived there? why don’t they any more? what did it look like at its prime? it’s really good fun.

Whilst in Scotland it would be a crime not to taste some of the local malt whiskies. Even if you’re not a whisky fan, you should definitely give it a go. There is a whiskey for everyone, you just need to find the right one for you!

This deal is available to you on travelbird.co.uk for only £54.50 per person, including your 4* Hotel & Breakfast. It is the perfect excuse for you to get away from a weekend and enjoy some peace and quiet away from home and all of the mundane day-to-day activities that you would rather forget about.
