Head to one of the areas of the United Kingdom that has been recognised as one of the most beautiful; the Gower Peninsula in Swansea. It has spectacular cliff-top views, unspoilt beaches and plenty of pubs along the walkways where you can warm up with a drink before finishing the walk. This is the perfect way for you to get some much needed R&R time.

You will be staying in the Blas Gwyr Hotel, which has received a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5/5 as well as being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2014. You will be staying here for two nights and on both mornings of your stay, you will be supplied with a really good Welsh Breakfast. Upon arrival, as a nice extra, you will also be given a bottle of wine.

Whilst you are here I would definitely recommend having a look at your surroundings. You will be staying in the first area of the UK to become a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which gives you an idea of exactly how stunning the location is. There are plenty of paths for you to walk, some well worn, some less so; depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. Along the way of most of these walks there are plenty of pubs for you to stop off and enjoy a light lunch or just a drink.

If you don’t mind the cold, you could give surfing a go. The Gower peninsula is known for its really good surfing conditions all year round. I would definitely recommend a wetsuit if that’s the option you want to go for; winter isn’t particularly warm in Wales.

This deal is available to you on travelbird.co.uk for £74.50 per person. This includes your 2 night Hotel stay, daily Breakfast, bottle of wine upon arrival as well as a late checkout time of 12pm!
