When we hear Ibiza, we instantly think of partying the night away. But the island also has a much more serene side to it as well. Just imagine chilling out outside and enjoying the long summer evenings as the sun peacefully sets over the Mediterranean… Just thinking about it is enough to make my want to pack my bags and go! If you feel the same way as I do, then be sure to check out these gorgeous places to go glamping in Ibiza. Each one is filled with a unique character and charm, so you’re guaranteed an unforgettable getaway!
Glamping has been a firm favourite with British holidaymakers for quite a while now. And it’s quite easy to see why! The nature, the relaxing atmosphere and the quirky, unique properties – no two glamping trips are the same. Plus you have access to plenty of luxuries and comforts that you might otherwise have had to give up on if you went properly camping (and that’s not something everyone fancies doing!). For me, the main draw of glamping is the fact that it gives you an opportunity to really experience something unique. Whether it’s staying in a hand-crafted treehouse or snuggling up in a traditional yurt, there’s almost no end to the possibilities out there.
Of course, glamping isn’t something that you can only do at home. Glamping holidays abroad are a fantastic way to get out there and experience a country a whole new way with friends and family. And what better place to do that than the gorgeous island of Ibiza? With its Mediterranean climates, gorgeous beaches and buzzing nightlife, Ibiza is a top sun holiday destination for many, yet the popularity can bring some hefty price tags along with it. If you’re dreaming of chilling in Ibiza but don’t want to fork out loads on hotels, then be sure to take a look at the best places to go glamping in Ibiza.
Holidayguru’s wishlist – the top places to go glamping in Ibiza!
Our first glamping spot on the list is definitely for all you lovebirds out there! This listing is for a beautiful 1950s postal bus situated with lush, secluded gardens in the heart of Ibiza. If it’s some proper downtime you’re after, then this is the place to be. Outside you’ll find wonderful seating areas where you can enjoy some wine by candlelight, or you could even go for a stroll in your private meditation garden filled with flowers. The interior of the bus features gorgeous Bohemian vibes, with rustic wood panelling, flowers, candles and even champagne!
Your host will also be happy to help you arrange private sailing trips, in case you really want to add an extra bit of wow factor to your getaway. Prices start from £177 per night for 2 adults – definitely more of a luxury option this one, but it doesn’t hurt to treat yourself every now and then! ;)
This is another fantastic Airbnb which promises plenty of seclusion and relaxation. This rustic tipi tent has been set up in the grounds of a traditional finca, a typical country estate common to the Balearic Islands. What this means for you is that you’re in a pristine location surrounded by nature – in fact from this tipi, you’ll even be able to enjoy views of the Mediterranean as well. The inside of the tipi is seriously snug, featuring a plush double bed and plenty of blankets. Outside you’ll find a lovely space for you to enjoy breakfast in the morning or simply just lounge about in the afternoon sunshine. You’re 10 minutes away from the beautiful village of Sant Joan, so you’ll be getting a really authentic feel for the island here.
There’s space for 2 adults in the tipi, with rates starting from just £71 per night.
The next Airbnb on the list combines that awesome campervan experience with the seclusion of a nature retreat! You won’t be able to drive this campervan anywhere, but it is part of an amazing retreat hidden away in the hills close to Sant Miquel de Balansat. You can rustle up your meals in the campervan and enjoy them outside on the lovely little terrace. Should the afternoon heat start getting too much for you, then why not go for a little dip in the fresh water basin and cool off? Should you fancy being a bit more active, then you could go for gorgeous walks in the forests or explore the charming village of Sant Miquel, where you’ll find plenty of quirky shops and cafés.
This listing is also for 2 adults – rates start from only £44 per night, a proper bargain if you ask me!
I’ve always been such a sucker for those proper old-school VW campervans, but when I saw this one I knew I was in love right away! Meet Sadie, a 1969 campervan in immaculate condition that’s just oozing with retro charm. You’ll be able to take her for a spin where ever you want on the island – there are some amazing drives you can do in Ibiza so this is half the fun! The combination of the vintage atmosphere with that Ibizan class is such a winning combo in my books. Just the thought of parking the van up next to a beach and breaking out the deckchairs is enough to make me want to hop on the next flight over. If it’s freedom you want from your holiday, then you really cannot go wrong with this.
Rates start from £124 per night, and there’s space for 2 guests inside.
When is a house not a house? When it’s a glampsite of course! This unique stone cottage gives you the awesome opportunity to sleep beneath the breathtaking night skies of Ibiza. This place is just bursting with those proper Bohemian vibes that Ibiza is so famous for. Outside you’ll find a fully-working tree shower, 6 acres of private grounds, outdoor hangout spaces, a pool and even a kitchen. If you’re travelling as a family you could even rent an extra room or two in the main house at the same time! This is boho chic at its finest!
The little cabin itself has space for 2 guests, but of course larger families can also enquire about rooms in the main house for extra space. Rates start from £75 per night.
So, what do you think? One of the main draws to Ibiza for me has always been those laid-back, hippy vibes in the quieter parts of the island, as it gives you a chance to really just relax and connect with what is some truly stunning nature.
